Changelog
What ships across the GlacierPoint products, newest first: new products, the Windows apps, buying online, legal pages, articles and changes to the sites themselves.
- GlacierPoint Atlas can now be bought online: a Billing page, a plan chooser and a card checkout, with your plans managed from the same page.
- GlacierPoint Atlas lets you buy a plan before your tenant is connected. The purchase waits and applies to the next tenant the Windows app connects.
- GlacierPoint Atlas now says plainly on the site, in the portal and in the Windows app that it only reads your tenant, and names the DNS resolvers it uses. The app asks you to accept the Terms with a checkbox, a Watch plan's term starts when the tenant connects, and the user guide is rebuilt.
- GlacierPoint Remind can now be bought online: a Billing page, a plan chooser and a card checkout, with a "Buy a plan" link beside every locked feature.
- GlacierPoint Ledger follows the same purchase flow as the other products: a Billing page, a plan chooser and checkout, and a plan you can buy for the next tenant the Windows app connects. The app asks you to accept the Terms with a checkbox.
- GlacierPoint Technologies publishes this changelog: one page for what ships across every product.
- The Windows apps of GlacierPoint Remind and GlacierPoint Atlas are now signed with the code-signing certificate of GlacierPoint Technologies LLC, so Windows names the publisher when you run them.
- GlacierPoint Ledger shows each tenant's plan on the Settings page with a purchase button beside it, and the Windows app checks every update against a signed release statement before it offers it.
- Every GlacierPoint site now ends with the same footer listing all six products, so each one is a click away from the others: Scan, Snapshot, Ledger, Atlas, Probe, Remind and this site.
- GlacierPoint Scan opens an Articles section with its first article, "What is an Active Directory security assessment?"
- GlacierPoint Snapshot opens an Articles section: backing up Conditional Access policies, restoring a deleted Intune policy, configuration drift, and Microsoft 365 configuration backup.
- GlacierPoint Ledger opens an Articles section with "How to find unused Microsoft 365 licenses with PowerShell and Graph".
- GlacierPoint Atlas opens an Articles section with "How to document a Microsoft 365 tenant".
- GlacierPoint Remind opens an Articles section with "How to find expiring app registration secrets with PowerShell".
- GlacierPoint Ledger's duplicate-license check now also lists plans that nearly overlap, for you to review before you change anything.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot's site loads faster: lighter guide pictures, a printable user guide about a third of its former size, and pages your browser can keep for a few minutes.
- GlacierPoint Scan and GlacierPoint Snapshot move to the shared GlacierPoint sign-in, so one account opens every product.
- Clearer page titles and headings, and a helpful page when an address is not found, with links to every product, on Scan, Snapshot, Ledger, Atlas, Probe, Remind and this site.
- Faster repeat visits: this site, Remind and Ledger let your browser keep pages for a few minutes and styles, fonts and pictures for longer.
- GlacierPoint Atlas is live, with its Windows app: one run writes the as-built document of your Microsoft 365 tenant, as PDF and Word.
- GlacierPoint Atlas prepares exports in the background, always fits a diagram on its page, and makes a missing Exchange PowerShell module stand out in the app, with a one-paste install command.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot's launch release: the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are published, and you accept them once.
- GlacierPoint Remind publishes its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; every member is asked to accept them once.
- GlacierPoint Remind's inventory is cleaner: Microsoft-managed certificates are left out, domain checks follow the records Microsoft publishes for your tenant, and reports show expired items in red and those expiring soon in yellow.
- GlacierPoint Remind, GlacierPoint Ledger and GlacierPoint Atlas sign you in with one GlacierPoint account.
- GlacierPoint Remind is live: one inventory of the secrets, certificates and domain records in your tenant that expire, with an email warning before each one. The Windows app downloads from the portal.
- GlacierPoint Ledger is live: a priced audit of the Microsoft 365 licenses you pay for and don't use, with a Windows app that can run on a schedule.
- GlacierPoint Ledger can price unused licenses from your own invoice, not only from list prices.
- GlacierPoint Scan adds 21 checks across Active Directory, Windows hosts and Microsoft 365, among them device code sign-in, phishing-resistant MFA for administrators, Exchange Direct Send, Kerberos RC4 readiness and the Secure Boot 2023 certificates.
- GlacierPoint Scan lets workspace owners add environments themselves from the Billing page, and the approval page opens with the collector's code already filled in.
- GlacierPoint Scan can be bought online by card, with the prices on the site.
- GlacierPoint Scan's Windows app gets the GlacierPoint icon and a choice of Light, Dark or Follow Windows.
- GlacierPoint Technologies opens its company site at glacierpointtech.com, with every product on one page.
- GlacierPoint Scan takes its name and moves to scan.glacierpointtech.com, sold by GlacierPoint Technologies LLC.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot takes its name and moves to snapshot.glacierpointtech.com; the old address forwards to it.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot and GlacierPoint Scan get light and dark themes, with a switch on every page.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot publishes a vulnerability disclosure page and a security.txt file, so researchers know where to report a problem.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot emails you 30 and 7 days before a plan that does not renew comes to an end.
- GlacierPoint Scan and GlacierPoint Snapshot encrypt everything they store, and keep nightly encrypted backups off the server.
- GlacierPoint Snapshot publishes its user guide, with annotated pictures of every step, as a web page and a printable PDF.
